"I use a Gibson Explorer with Bill Lawrence pickups for the rhythm guitar parts and the solos. I use an active Fender Stratocaster with single coil Fender pickups for the clean guitar parts and solos.
Lately I mainly use the digital Line 6 POD Pro preamp (rectified sound for rhythm and higain (Soldano) sound for the solos) straight into Protools, no effects added. Formerly I used the Mesaboogie Dual Rectifier and various Marshalls. I still mix them with the POD now and then.
For acoustic guitars I use the Ovation on one side for the high tones and a Martin on the other side for the deep tones. All effects like reverb, delay, limiting and compression are added afterwards in the mix."
