Barry Hay – vocals, flute Arjen explains: Back in the 80s my last band Vengeance performed ‘Back Home’ live with Barry on vocals. I’ve always been a big Earring fan, so having Barry on my album was a great experience for me. It was the first time that a voice that I had listened to for all my youth sang one of my very own songs. I was incredibly nervous. The biggest compliment I got quite a few times was that Barry sang better on my CD than on any Earring CD. Barry has his own unique voice that can’t be compared to anyone. His voice is as powerful today as it was 30 years ago. And though I had to really persuade him, I actually managed to get him to bring his flute, which he played on The Final Experiment. As it turned out, he is quite skilled. |
