Jens Johansson – keyboards Arjen Explains: Jens is one of the fastest, if not the fastest, keyboardplayer on this planet. The first time I heard Jens was on an Yngwie Malmsteen CD, on which he effortlessly kept up with Yngwie. One day I received an email of someone named Jens who really loved my music and my concepts. It turned out he was one and the same, and I felt incredibly honored of course. After having emailed back and forth with him for a year about a lot of different things. I had the opportunity to work with him for Star One. I sent him the music and within a few hours he had all solos ready, including a number of variations, unbelievable… However, we will fight till the end of time about the sound of the synthesizer: my analog keys versus his digital sounds! |
